What is a Gaming Convention?
A Gaming Convention is an event where people gather in a location to play games. Board games, card games, and roleplaying games are all examples of activities that happen during a convention.
When is Nuke-Con Open?
Nuke-Con opens its doors for registration at 2pm on Friday. Gaming starts at 3pm and ends at 2am. On Saturday, the registration desk opens at 8am. Gaming starts at 9am and ends at 2am. On Sunday. the registration desk opens at 8 am. Gaming starts at 9am and the convention ends at 6pm.
Can I bring my prop/nerf gun/fake weapon/etc?
Costume/fake/prop-style weapons are permitted if they are in no way dangerous to attendees, nor could be mistaken for real weapons. Nuke-Con staff will determine on a case-by-case basis whether a weapon does not meet this guideline. Staff decisions will be final.
Will I be on camera?
Probably.
Are cameras allowed?
Yes. Photography and video is allowed at Nuke-Con. However, if someone asks not to be photographed, please respect their wishes.

Where is the Mid-America Center?
The Mid-America Center is located at 1 Arena Way, Council Bluffs, IA 51501. More details can be found on our venue page.
What restaurants are near by?

Where do I park?

I’m a vendor/exhibitor/club, where do I go to unload?
There is a loading area behind the Exhibition hall that can be used. More details can be found on our venue page or contact us.
How can I pay?
If you are pre-registering, we accept cash, check, money order and PayPal. At the doors, we accept cash, check, money order, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).
Can I get a refund?
No, we currently do not offer refunds. We do allow you to transfer your registration to a future event, if you would like.
I have moved since I registered, is this a problem?
This isn’t a problem, but we do prefer that we have your updated information available in case we need to contact you. If you have a Fallout Shelter member, you can login and change it from your profiel page. If not, just contact the registration coordinator.
I am interested in having vendor/exhibitor space, who do I contact?

How does refer a friend/bring a buddy work?
It’s our way of thanking you if you refer someone that attends our annual convention that had not attended the past year. For all the details, check out the registration page.
What types of games run at Nuke-Con?
Nuke-Con’s volunteer game masters run just about every type of non-gambling game you can imagine: board games, card games, miniature games, live-action role-playing, table top role-playing and others. I’m interested in submitting my event. Are there any rules?
Yes, there are rules you need to abide if you plan on running an event. Please visit our rules page to learn more.
I don’t see my event yet, what’s up?
Before we start posting events, we have to lay out an initial schedule. That doesn’t happen until we feel we have enough submissions to make a schedule. That is usually late July or early August. If we have already started posting events, it’s possible we’re working on getting your event scheduled right now. If you have questions, contact the GM Coordinator.
I paid, but I’m still having problems enrolling in events online!

An event has an additional cost, why is that?
Some of our events bring staff along to ensure their events run smoothly. Other events are tournaments that have prizes. We also have events that support a charity. If you wish to participate in these events, this fee must be paid too.
