Ponyri Train Station, a critical battlefield on the northern flank of the largest tank battle of the Second World War---Kursk, during Operation Citadel. It took place in July 1943 in central Russia. On one side are the lead assault elements of 41st Panzerkorp and the other-- elements of 2 Soviet infantry and Tank Divisions supported by the 27th Guards Heavy Tank Regiment. Ponyri was taken and lost FOUR times during the historical battle.
