This is a position for a people person. We don’t ask the Volunteer Coordinator to round up people, but they do need to be able to work with lots of different types — because Nuke-Con runs on its volunteers. None of the staff is paid a salary; we are all volunteers.

For most of the year, the Volunteer Coordinator tracks the staff hours at our Out and About The Coordinator will be busy for perhaps half a day six or seven times over the year.

For the month before the annual Convention, the Volunteer Coordinator gets to work. They create the volunteer schedules for the weekend, assigning people as needed (or preferred). Of course, the Coordinator keeps track of the hours people work; the Convention and Registration Coordinators use that information to assign any rewards that our Board of Directors (also volunteers!) has authorized.
